Slow start and check engine light

My 23 Telly is slow to start lately and the check engine light comes on too. Not sure what's going on since it was just parked in the garage for a few days. I haven't checked anything yet and yes,I think I need to bring it to the dealer but checking hhere first. Has this happened to anyone here before? any ideas?

Hey, so a slow start with that light on? Could be a bunch of stuff. I'd start by scanning for codes, most auto parts places do it for free now. It might be the battery voltage dropping, maybe a sensor connection is loose, or even a crank or cam sensor acting weird

Has it been sitting out in the cold or has the battery been acting strangely? Check those battery terminals too. Tell me what codes pop up

Hmm so mine did the same after sitting for a week. It was just apparently a weak battery and a crank sensor throwing codes. Definitely get it scanned before heading to the dealer. Might save you some cash.

Could also be something like a fuel pressure hiccup or a sensor throwing a soft code but start with a battery test
