Power liftgate question

How does this power liftgate thing works? anyone else had their power liftgate open up by itself when their garage door is opening?
mine suddenly opened and the liftgate popped up and smacked the door! now I've got scratches and little dents near the plate. Any fixes to this?

It's common, power liftgates can open accidentally from a fob press or signal interference. For the scratches and dents, touch-up paint and paintless dent repair should be good options. You might want to disable the auto-open feature or keep the fob separate to prevent it from happening again.

Yeah,I had a close call myself especially around the same time the garage is opening, you can turn off the feature and keep the fob somewhere safe, your dents might probably need a PDR guy

Oh... that auto-open feature can be like that sometimes yes especially near garage sensors. Maybe double check your settings and put the fob somewhere it won't get pressed by accident.
